A Frenchie on a US team

I missed this yesterday, but apparently Xp3 has joined up with eMg’s new Counter Strike squad. David “Xp3″ Garrido was a star player in the French scene playing on such storied squads as aAa and d4. Xp3 moved to Montreal in January of this year and made quick inroads to the North American CS scene. In particular, he played with NSU which was a remix of NoPression.

Now he finds himself on eMg’s roster replacing Keith “keefers” Spies and he will become the team’s primary awper. The big question is how will he fit into this lineup?

To me this roster move is just weird. Xp3 is a great player, but playing with an American team in an organization such as eMg? The only thing I can think of is that Xp3 wants to compete at the top and will take whatever comes his way. That or eMg made him one hell of an offer, not like they’ll come through on it though.

Here’s what their lineup looks like now:

Dustin “dizzaman” Dilyerd
Chris “truls” Navratil
Sean “sgares” Gares
Alex “millipede” Abbott
David “Xp3″ Garrido
